Subject: Email 1, updating you all

Hi all

As most of you know we are on the island of Rarotonga in the Cook Islands. See www.cook-islands.com

It’s the 10th May and the time is just gone midday, we are 11hrs behind UK time.

We arrived here 6am on the 6th May and stayed at Rarotonga Backpackers for our first night.. see: - www.rarotongabackpackers.com

We are now staying at www.tiarevillage.co.ck for the rest of our stay on the island. We have a poolside apartment with its own kitchen and en-suite for $60 (New Zealand Dollars) per night.

We have done a lot of walking around the island over the last few days and hired some mountain bikes. We cycled 42km the circumstance of the island in 4 hours.

It’s Rarotonga’s winter now and temperatures between 20 and 30 degrees depending on the weather. We have experiences a few sunny days, a lot of cloud and some rain. Today is our wettest day!

We are planning on a 10km Trek, which will take us from the north side of the island to the south side and features the islands only waterfall.

We will email again in about a week and update you on our progress.
